Most of us these days are quick to complain about poor service and
after the nightmare I have been through with BT at home this year, to
get my broadband service working correctly on a home wireless network,
I am at the front of the line in the moan queue!
How refreshing it was then that when I sent an e-mail to you last
Saturday evening after spending a very frustrating day trying to
install a wireless router in my new business premises to get a quick
phone call on the following Sunday. You asked if I needed help that day
or could I wait to Monday. Wow, that’s at the opposite scale to the
patronising conversation to Delhi after negotiating a mine field of auto
phone option on a keypad with BT!
On the Monday you arrived as promised at 9.00am prompt and had the
problem fixed by 10.00am. It transpires that you had to reset some
parameters to the ones my Laptop was fixed to for home that BT had
configured as a heavy handed solution to their problem.
I am glad to report that everything is working fine, the three computers
at work, the wireless printer and my home network.
Your invoice was therefore paid with a smile because of the excellent
value for money you gave and I will be only too happy to recommend you to everyone I know.
It was also nice to chat to you about your interest outside of work, especially sailing.
